Share Truth in Love

Out of our love for Christ and others, we need to use our freedom of speech to fearlessly guard others from being led astray by sharing the truth with them. However, the truth is not always going to feel good and be what others want to hear. The truth is always found in God and the Bible, His Holy Word. We need to confront lies by praying and speaking up with love for what is true.
Galatians 6:1 mentions "Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted."
James 4:17 says, "So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin."
Throughout the Gospels of the Bible, there are many examples of how Jesus confronted lies with truth and confronted a person's sins with love for the sinner. A few examples are: John 3:1-21 and Matthew 4:1-11. If we are ever in doubt about what to do in a given situation, we need to go to God in prayer and read what is in the Bible first.
